Rules


By connecting to the IP: mutinies.net, henceforth referred to as the Network you agree to have already read this document, henceforth referred to as the Rules and to abide by them during your stay on the Network. Any violation of these Rules will lead to punishment by the Networks moderation and administration team, henceforth referred to as Moderator(s) and Administrator(s) respectively. These Rules are in effect across the entire Network unless otherwise specified. The definition of a violation is dependent on the Moderator or Administrator administering the punishment. This may vary case by case. If you feel that you have been punished wrongly, you may open an appeal on the website mutinies.net, henceforth referred to as the Forums. If you feel a Staff Member has abused their authority, please message their supervisor on Discord, which is defined as the Discord guild associated with this link: https://discord.gg/5dRUNex.

Chat Offenses

Chat Offenses are defined as violations which occur in Chat. These offenses are classified into different severities, henceforth referred to as classes. Offenses can range from Class 5 to Class 1, with Class 1 being the highest class. / While, punishments can vary, the punishment for a Class 4 offense is generally more severe than the punishment for a Class 5 offense. The following are classified as chat offenses.


1. Spamming is not allowed and is a Class 5 offense. If repeat incidents occur within a small timeframe, it may be upgraded to a class 3 offense. Spamming is defined as the act of obnoxiously doing something repeatedly for attention or in order to disturb others.


2. Excessive use of capital letters is not allowed. Violating this rule will result in a Class 5 Offense and if repeat offences occur, it may be upgraded to a Class 3 offense.


3. Actively attempting and/or succeeding to bypass the chat filter is not tolerated and is a Class 5 offense. If repeat violations occur, it will be upgrade to a Class 3 offense.


4. Revealing information to active players while dead is not tolerated. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a Class 5 offense and repeat violations will result in a Class 3 offense.


5. Advertising is prohibited and will result in varying levels on punishment depending on the scale and the intent. If the scale of the advertisement is small, such as mentioning products or servers not affiliated with Mutinies in private or party chat, the advertiser will be charged with a Class 5 offense. If the scale of the advertisement is large, such as mentioning products or servers not affiliated with Mutinies in public chat, the advertiser will be charged with a Class 4 offense. If the scale of the advertisement is large and the player is intentionally trying to break the rule, the advertiser will be charged with a Class 2 offense.


6. Actively disagreeing with someone in a hostile manner in an attempt to provoke a response is not allowed 1. Violations of the rule will be classified as a Class 5 offense and repeat violations will be escalated to a Class 3 Offense.


7. Accusing of someone using unauthorized modifications to their client is not allowed. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a Class 5 offense and repeat violations will result in a Class 4 offense. You may report players on the Forums.


8. Actively trying to enforce rules without the proper authority is not allowed. This will result in a Class 5 offense and it may be escalated to a Class 4 offense if it occurs repeatedly. This is not to be confused with reminding a player about the rules. This rule applies to players pretending to have the authority to enforce rules.


9. Inappropriate behaviour in chat is not tolerated. This is a Class 5 offense and will be elevated to a Class 3 offense on repeat.


10. Miscellaneous links leading to something mostly unrelated to Minecraft are not allowed. You must also clarify what the link leads to before posting it. Failure to fulfill either of those conditions will lead to a Class 5 Offense. If the description does not match what your link leads to, it will also be considered an offense. Malicious and/or Inappropriate links are strictly prohibited and will lead to a Class 2 offense.


11. Rioting, in any capacity is not allowed and will lead to a Class 5 offense. Failure to stop when a Staff Member orders you to will lead to a Class 3 Offense.


12. Abusive behaviour towards player and/or staff members is not tolerated and is a Class 4 offense. Continued abusive behaviour will lead to the case being elevated to a Class 2 offense.


13. Racism and/or discrimination is prohibited and is a Class 3 offense. There will be no toleration for using racist or discriminatory terms as a joke.


14. Threats are prohibited and will lead to either a Class 2 or Class 1 offense depending on the type. Any type of threat will lead to a Class 2 offense, with the exception of a death threat, which will result in a Class 1 offense.


15. Revealing the personal information of another player or staff member is prohibited and will lead to a Class 3 offense on a player•s first offense. A second offense will be a Class 2 offense.


16. Scamming is strictly prohibited and will lead to a Class 2 offense on a player•s first offense. Scamming is defined as trying to make real-life currency transactions with anyone.


17. Unauthorized Transactions are strictly prohibited and will lead to a class 2 offense on a player•s first offense. Unauthorized Transactions is transactions which attempt to buy/sell/trade items from, with or for someone which are not in the Mutinies Store.



Gameplay Offenses

Gameplay Offenses are defined as violations which occur in-game that affect the game but are not Client Offenses. These offenses are classified into different severities, henceforth referred to as classes. Offenses can range from Class 5 to Class 1, with Class 1 being the highest class. While, punishments can vary, the punishment for a Class 4 offense is generally more severe than the punishment for a Class 5 offense. The following are classified as gameplay offenses.


1. Bug Exploitation is not allowed and a Class 4 offense. Continued Bug Exploitation will result in a Class 2 offense. Bug exploitation is defined as exploitation of any feature which is not intentional.


2. Map Exploitation is not allowed and is a Class 4 offense. Repeat offenses will be escalated to a Class 2 offense. Map Exploitation is defined as exploitation of any feature of a map which is not intentional.


3. Team Killing is not allowed and is a Class 3 offense. Failure to stop when you have been warned will result in a Class 2 offense. Team Killing is defined as killing, obstructing and/or deliberately disadvantaging a team member.


4. Gameplay Trolling is not allowed and is a Class 3 offense. Gameplay Trolling is defined as intentionally trying to frustrate and/or ruin the game for other players.


5. Cross-Teaming or Teaming is not tolerated and is a Class 5 to 3 offense depending on the scale. Teaming is defined as cooperating, truceing, collaborating, or fighting together with another player. Cross-Teaming is defined as cooperating, truceing, collaborating or fighting together with another team. Judgement on the severity of the violation is subject to the discretion of the Moderator or Administrator administering the punishment and may vary case by case.


6. Boosting an accounts statistics through unfair and/or unintended means is not tolerated and is a Class 4 offense. Repeat violations will result in escalating punishments. Players caught violating this rule may be subject to a statistics reset, where their statistics will be reset.


7. Any inappropriate username, nickname or skin is prohibited and is a Class 2 Offense. An inappropriate username or nickname is any username or nickname which bypasses the filter, includes racist or discriminatory words, suggests drug use, contains inappropriate words, etc. An inappropriate skin would be any skin that includes sexual content, racist or discriminatory graphics, terroristic graphics, any graphics pertaining to drug use, etc. The judgement on whether an username, nickname or skin is inappropriate rests solely on the moderator or administrator presiding over the case and may vary case by case.


8. Using any for of automated program(s)/script(s) on account is strictly prohibited and is a Class 2 Offense. Judgement on whether an account is using such program(s) or script(s) may vary from case to case.


9. Any accounts which are suspected to be compromised are instantly banned. You may appeal this ban on the Forums when you have regained control over the account.



Client Offenses

Client Offenses are unauthorized modifications to the player•s client. These offenses are classified into different severities, therefore referred to as classes. Offenses can range from Class 5 to Class 1, with Class 1 being the highest class. While punishments may vary, Class 4 offenses are generally more severe than the punishment for a Class 5 offense. The following are types of client offenses.


1. Unapproved Modifications are not allowed and any player caught using one commits a Class 4 Offense. A list of approved modifications are listed below.


2. Hacking is prohibited and any form of hacking will constitute a Class 3 Offense. If the hack affects movement, the offense will be upgraded to a Class 2 Offense. Judgement on whether a player is using hacks or if the hack affects movement rests solely on the Moderator(s) and/or Administrator(s) and may vary case by case.



Modifications

Allowed Modifications


Modifications which aim to:

• Improve Client Performance (Increase FPS, etc.)

• Display armor or effect statuses.

• Increase brightness or gamma.

• Improve the aesthetics of the game (shader modifications).


Any modifications which do not fall into these categories is prohibited. If you are unsure about the classification of a modification, do not use it. The classification of a modification is subject to the staff presiding over the case and may vary.

Allowed Modifications include:

• Optifine

• LabyMod

• Armor and/or Effect Status HUD•s (5zig, Armor Status, Effect Status, etc)

• Shaders

• Minecraft Debug Tools (F3+B)

• Too Many Items

• Gamma/Brightness Modifications

• Joystick Mod


Allowed modifications are not limited to this list but modifications which are not listed here may not be authorized on this Network. Use modifications with caution.

Obligations:

• Post threads in the correct forum category.

• If you do not know where to post a thread, post it in the most relevant category that matches the topic and content of your thread.

• Generally refrain from posting on threads that have not been posted, replied to, or commented on in the last 4 or more months, unless the exceptions below apply.

• Only if you are the author of the post, updating your status on the problem and/or topic of your thread (I.E. reporting that you have fixed the problem and how).

• Posting urgent information regarding the topic and/or problem of the thread.

• You should not be bumping posts excessively.

• Posting on a thread to make it seen by people easier.

• Please do not bump threads more than once a week.

• Please use common sense on the Mutinies website.

• If something seems wrong, don•t do it.

• If you are unsure about something please contact one of our staff, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

• Please only post links that are related to the server.

• Any links that have some relevance to the server and website are allowed.


Class 3 Offenses:

• Commiting one of these offenses will get you 1 warning point

• No Post Farming

• Repeatedly posting threads so as to raise your message count.

• Point lasts 4 months.

• No Spamming of Threads and Posts

• Repeatedly posting threads.

• Point lasts 4 months.

• Do not beg.

• If you want something from the staff or a member or members don•t beg and/or nag them. Ask in a kind, considerate, and appropriate way.

• Point lasts 4 months.

• Do not troll people.

• Do not try to manipulate someone or cause harm by stating facts that are not true.

• Point lasts 4 months.

• Do Not Necropost

• Excessive posting, commenting and/or replying on threads that have not been posted on for 4 or more months.

• Point lasts for 4 months.

• Do Not Excessively Bump Threads

• Posting on a thread to make it seen by people easier.

• Bumping a thread more than once a week.

• Point lasts for 4 months.

• Do Not Post Unrelated Links In The Forums

• Posting links that do are not relevant to the server and website.

• Point lasts 2 months.


Class 2 Offenses:

• Commiting one of these offenses will get you 2 warning points

• Do Not DDOS/DOX Or Threaten To

• DDOS: distributed denial of service.

• DOX: to search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent.

• Points last 6 months.

• Do Not Harass People And Do Not Be Disrespectful To People

• Doing stuff to people that they don•t like.

• Points last 4 months.

• Do Not Leak Personal Information In Threads Or Threaten To

• Leaking personal information about someone else or threatening to in threads.

• Points last 6 months.

• Do Not Post Insensitive Content

• Posting threads that contain content that is offensive to a person or a group of people.

• Points last 6 months.

• No Racism Or Discrimination

• The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.

• Points last 4 months.

• No Inappropriate Profiles/Signatures

• Points last 4 months.

• No Malicious Links

• Posting links that contain and/or lead to

• Inappropriate and/or disrespectful content.

• Malicious content.

• Websites that might harm someone•s device.

• Etc•


Class 1 Offenses:

• Commiting one of these offenses will get you 4 warning points

• Do Not Advertise

• Posting threads and/or posting on threads to advertise other Business, Service And/Or Products.

• Points last 6 months.

• Do Not Post Death Threat On The Forums

• Threatening to kill someone, saying someone should die and etc.

• Points are permanent.

• Do Not Be Disrespectful And/Or Disobedient To The Staff

• Points last 6 months.



Text Channels

1. No Racism or Discrimination.
2. No Inappropriate Discord Names.
3. No Flame Wars.
4. No DDos, Dox or Death threats.
5. Stay on-topic.
6. No excessive swearing.
7. No Spamming or excessive caps.
8. Keep chat PG (Nothing sexual or graphic).
9. Do not disclose personal information in chat.
10. No promotion or advertising of unrelated goods or servers.
11. No Trolling and be respectful.
12. Excessive mention of @Staff will not be tolerated
13. Obey staff orders.
14. Do not attempt to bypass filters.
15. Do not impersonate staff members.
16. Use common sense; if something is mostly unacceptable to say in person, do not post it here.
17. Be respectful when you talk to others.
18. No inappropriate usernames / nicknames.

Voice Channels

1. No consistently obnoxious noises.
2. No music bot abuse.
3. Do not play loud sounds intentionally.
4. Do not play inappropriate songs / videos.
5. Act respectful while speaking to others.
7. Do not disclose personal information.
8. Do not promote or advertise unrelated goods or servers.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in warnings, mutes, kicks and bans being placed upon you.
